Judicial reform on the way
Rajya Sabha has passed the bill for enhancing the pecuniary jurisdiction of Delhi District Courts to 2 crores.This is a key judicial reform.This will enable faster judicial decisions and lesser hassles for the litigants.
The Supreme Court of India has observed that that the law related to hate speech needs reform.It is getting misused due to lack of clarity.It violates the fundamental right related to freedom of speech.
SC confirmed the life sentence awarded to the six accused,who were accused of the murder of Manjunath,the IIM lucknow student who exposed corruption and adulteration in petrol at petrol pumps.
