SC fines political parties for contempt of court

 The SC has fined nine political parties including the BJP, Congress, NCP and CPM for not publishing the criminal antecedents of the selected candidates for elections on their websites.

The political parties have to publish the criminal antecedents of the selected candidates within 48 hours of selection.
